Seventeen-year-old
Brody loves healthy snack food, the color red, and cooking with his family. He
enjoys bike riding and antique shopping with his friends. Brody also loves
baseball, and this love is what made his wish to see the Waverly baseball field
project completed, so that he could see kids play on the field and enjoy his
favorite game for years to come! Brody has Hodgkin's Disease, and decided that
he wanted to give back to his community for his wish. Brody and his family were
there for the groundbreaking of the field in July of 2015. He was able to
present the check that would help the baseball complex receive a full batting cage. The cage, named after Brody, will help other players like Brody work on their game for years to come. The new complex that Brody helped build,
will be able to host regional tournaments, which will bring money back into the
community.
