Sydnee DELIGHTS in Ice Cream for
Breakfast!
Eight-year-old Sydnee and her family flew
to Orlando for Sydnee’s special wish trip to Walt Disney
World® Resort. The family stayed at Give Kids The World
– a village for children with life-threatening medical conditions
- and they were given the royal treatment at area theme
parks, with VIP passes to the front of most lines.
Sydnee survived an adult-size disease, after
she was diagnosed last year with a rare blood disorder and
stage four cancer. Sydnee’s cancer has returned, and she
has now undergone a stem cell transplant.
As for Sydnee though, she was focused solely
on just having fun on her magical wish trip. “I liked the
big rides, especially Splash Mountain and I liked the animals
at Animal Kingdom. One of my most favorite things was an
ice cream parlor at Give Kids The World that was open 24
hours a day. You can have it for breakfast, if you want,”
she exclaimed. Also, Mayor Clayton tucked Sydnee and her
siblings into bed the last night of their stay and she absolutely
loved that.
Sydnee’s family truly enjoyed seeing her so
bubbly and enthusiastic, and are so very appreciative of
everyone who helped support her wish.
