Isaac is a wonderful little boy, full of surprise both happy and sad. At 2 weeks old symptoms of his disease started to appear. For the next 16 months, Isaac and his family saw many doctors and he had numerous tests done. Isaac’s parents watched his body swell and rashes break out everywhere with fevers become a daily thing. After many years, Isaac was finally diagnosed with CANDLE syndrome, a rare auto-inflammatory disease with only 20 cases diagnosed in the world. Isaac, now 8 is constantly fighting symptoms of the disease and receives treatment monthly at the National Institution of Health in Washington DC. In early December of 2012, the avid football fan got a break from the treatments to experience his Make-A-Wish trip to meet Ndamukong Suh. He and his family had a the trip of their lifetime, meeting Suh and watching the Lions game in style in Suh’s personal suite! Through all the pain of his disease Isaac finds a way to smile. He loves sports and is looking forward to another season of watching his new friend Suh!
