Managing Our Funds
Make-A-Wish Nebraska takes very seriously our responsibility to steward supporter contributions wisely. Our fundraising efforts, fiscal practices, and business operations all are designed to support a single purpose: to grant wishes that change lives.
Fiscal Year 2017 was a great year for Make-A-Wish Nebraska in a number of respects:
- Make-A-Wish Nebraska granted 118 wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions across the state.
- 84% of every donated dollar went to support wish-granting – exceeds program services allocation standards set by leading charity watchdog groups
We are proud that Make-A-Wish Nebraska once again holds a 4-Star Rating on Charity Navigator.
Make-A-Wish Nebraska is proud to be recognized as a four star charity by Charity Navigator, America's premier independent charity evaluator. Charity Navigator works to advance a more efficient and responsive philanthropic marketplace by evaluating the financial health of America's largest charities.
Make-A-Wish Nebraska once again received a rating of Exceptional, meaning we exceed industry standards and outperform most charities in our Cause. We are proud to announce we have earned Charity Navigator’s 6th consecutive 4-star rating. According to Charity Navigator, only 5% of the charities they evaluate have received at least 6 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating Make-A-Wish Nebraska outperforms most other charities in America.
